Lung disease affects millions of people across the planet. Lung disease can range from mild to severe. Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) is a form of lung disease in which the airways become narrowed.
This leads to a limitation of the flow of air to and from the lungs causing shortness of breath. In contrast to asthma, the limitation of airflow is poorly reversible and usually gets progressively worse over time. COPD is the 4th leading cause of death in the USA.
Stem Cells are being used to fight against COPD and other forms of lung disease. Once the stem cells get into the patient’s circulatory system they will immediately travel to the lungs. 40% of the stem cells that travel past the lungs will stay there. The stem cells will repair the damage tissue in the lungs.
Video Descriptions: This animation describes how stem cells from the patient's abdominal fat are used to treat various diseases, such as MS, ALS, Stroke, Diabetes, Lung Disease, Heart Disease, Othropedic, etc.
